Villas Jacquelina visits Jungle Jam 2014 in Costa Rica! This past weekend the Villas Jacquelina Family took a short bus ride to Jaco for the day to explore the area and attend Jungle Jam. The public bus ride was an adventure in itself; we started the day walking around town and checking out all the local stores. It was a busy day as tons of people from around the world were in Jaco for Jungle Jam. After shopping, we landed at this cool restaurant right on the main road. It was a warm day which called for some ice cold drinks. We like to go big so we ordered a table keg! Next up on the agenda was a beach trip to Jaco Beach. The beach was beautiful and the waves were huge- some of the best surfing waves in all of Costa Rica. After a couple hours of soaking up the sun on the beach we showered off the sand and found ourselves at a beach front bar. We all ordered a round of Pina Coladas and watched the sunset. Next up: Jungle Jam. The walk to Jungle Jam was a couple miles straight into the jungle. When we arrived we all were taken aback by the set up. We were in the middle of the Costa Rican Jungle about to see some amazing bands with people from all over the world. Imagine a place where friends and family can come together, amongst one of the world’s most breathtaking natural settings, to dance and groove to some of the most talented musicians on the planet! Peace, Love, and Happiness was tonight’s theme and hundreds of people came to live it up. We met so many different types of people from so many different cultures, and the common thread was that everyone was having the time of their lives. Jungle Jam featured some amazing bands including Slightly Stoopid, G Love and friends, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Karl Denson and the Tiny Universe, The Expendables, Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Dopapod, and Kung Fu. There were also local restaurants providing some great drinks, organic burgers, and fresh baked pizza, along with various vendors selling concert memorabilia, artwork, and awesome Costa Rican crafts! Our favorite part of the night was singing and dancing in the front row for all of Slightly Stoopid! Jungle Jam was an epic concert that we will always remember! Come visit us for Jungle Jam V next year, and stay with all of your new friends at Villas Jacquelina!
