Cutest and saddest thing ever! lol
I am slowly falling in love with sloths…
Costa Rica is also home to many of our sleepy friends! They even have a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating sloths (Sloth Sanctuary). The sanctuary also has 6 hotels where you can stay and private tours you can take in the sanctuary and jungle.

About Daisy Prado:
Thank you for visiting my blog. I am Daisy Prado, a broadcast journalism student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. For a long time all I wanted to do was travel the world and save endangered species, BUT I also wanted to be on tv. Very select few get to do both, soooo I picked one: being on tv.
And even though I am in my second year of studying journalism, all those years of hiking, being in the ecology club, volunteering at the Desert Botanical Gardens, playing veterinarian and spending countless hours reading about Earth’s strange inhabitants have not worn off. And this is why I have decided to make a blog.
Growing up, instead of playing housewife I used to pretend being the CROCODILE HUNTER!! Steve Irwin was my environmental idol. I would pretend to wrestle an inflatable crocodile in the pool! I’m not trying to say that I wanted to be a boy but looking at the tv, I never saw a GIRL doing that fun stuff. Girls want to do that stuff too! Even girls like me that like to wear heels and lip gloss.
So if I ever have the chance, I would like to pitch to Discovery Studios or to the travel channel the idea of a “girly” girl (like me) embarking on different adventures around the world, meddling with dangerous creatures, eating strange foods, and interacting with those who are native to the land.
But until then, I will be blogging about my imaginary expeditions as well as some of the small real adventures that I am able to afford as a broke college student.
